1) What Do you mean by Transaction Tokens (TTL) License. How does the SMARTROOMS reservation software work under the TTL License?

Ans: SMARTROOMS is a room reservation software that is integrated with YOUR Hotel's website, You can SELL YOUR Hotel rooms online through your OWN Website. There are 3 Types of SMARTROOMS Licenses: CORE, FIXED-FEE and Transaction Tokens.

Under the SMARTROOMS Transaction Tokens License, YOUR hotel can sell UNLIMITED number of rooms Online. No Commissions are charged on room sales. Only a Small Transaction Fee which we call as "Transaction Token" is charged for each successfull booking transaction. We ONLY charge ONE Transaction Token per Booking, irrespective of the Value of the Order. The Hotel has to buy Transaction Tokens in advance.

The Steps to a successful order have been outlined below:

  1. The Guest visits your website and clicks on the reservation link, checks rooms availability, selects room, fills the booking form and submits the order.

  2. One Transaction Token is deducted for this order.

  3. The Guest does not pay online. The Hotel Reservation Staff view the Booking and contact the Guest to Collect the Payment.

  4. This is a WIN-WIN situation for the Guest and Your Hotel. The guest is able to view Room Availability and gets a confirmed booking while YOUR hotel gets a Complete Reservation Software at a Very Low Cost and continues to save money on credit card commissions, booking commissions paid to agents, maintenance fees etc...

  5. If the transaction is not genuine, the Hotel can mark it as FAKE and report it to SMARTROOMS. If the Transaction is found to be FAKE, The Transaction Token is Credited. There is ZERO Risk to Your Hotel.

2) What information do you require from our hotel to integrate smartrooms with our website?

Ans: Let us say that your hotel's Website Address is www.smarthotel.com. Here, smarthotel.com is your domain name.

OPTION 1 : IF YOU ARE NOT HOSTING YOUR WEBSITE ON OUR WEB-SERVER.

STEP 1: We will create a sub-domain, 'bookings.smarthotel.com' on our Web-Server and install the SMARTROOMS software.

STEP 2: An "A record" will have to be created at your DNS-Host/Domain-Registrar to point 'bookings. smarthotel.com' to our Web-Server.

STEP 3: An online Reservations Button or Link will be inserted on your website to redirect all bookings to the SMARTROOMS software.

OPTION 2 : IF YOU ARE HOSTING YOUR WEBSITE ON OUR WEB-SERVER.

STEP 1: We will move your website to our Web-Server and change your Domain's Nameservers to point your domain smarthotel.com to our Web-Server.

STEP 2: We will create a sub-domain, 'bookings.smarthotel.com' and install the SMARTROOMS software.

STEP 3: An online Reservations Button or Link will be inserted on your website to redirect all bookings to the SMARTROOMS software.

REQUIRED INFORMATION:

If you are NOT hosting your website on our web-server, your current hosting company will have to create an A record and your website designer will have to insert the online Reservations Button or Link on your website. We can also help you with this if you allow us access to your Domain Control Panel and provide us with the FTP Username/Password of your hosting account.

If you are hosting your website on our web-server, we need access to your Domain Control Panel and the FTP Username/Password of your hosting account to move your website to our servers.

NOTE: We host on Linux/Php/Apache/MySQL Web-Servers. Hence, .asp and .net files are not supported on our servers. If your website has .asp and .net files, You will have to choose OPTION 1.



3) How do I order the SMARTROOMS Transaction Tokens License?

Ans: Please follow the below steps to order and pay for your SMARTROOMS Transaction Tokens license.

2) Click on Transaction Tokens License - Order Now Button.

3) The default currency is INR. Change the currency to view pricing in USD, EUR or GBP.

4) We require your hotel's website domain-name to configure SMARTROOMS. Please choose the third option i.e "I will update my nameservers on an existing domain / I will create an A record bookings.mydomain.com"and enter your hotels website address e.g myhotel.com

5) The Billing Cycle amount i.e the amount payable is shown to you.

6a) You get 10 Transaction Tokens Free with your order. If you wish to order additional Transaction Tokens; select any one check-box within Addons to order.

6b) If you wish to order customisation, Click on the check-box in front of "Customisation Fee* For Transaction Tokens License within Addons.

7) Read The "Master Subscription Agreement" and click on "Proceed Ahead With The Order".

8) Click on Checkout.

9) Enter your personal details and select the mode of payment.

You can either pay through cheque, credit card (HDFC Payment Gateway) or Paypal.

4) How do I display the prices in my local currency?

ANS: You can change the Currency Prefix ($, £, €)and Suffix (USD, GBP, EUR) easily from the General Configuration Area within the Control Panel. All prices will then be displayed in your local currency.

5) A guest booked 2 rooms for 4 nights and the total booking amount is Rs. 64000. Will we be charged Two Transaction Tokens since two rooms have been booked?

ANS: If the booking is done in a single transaction, only One Transaction Token will be charged for your booking of Rs. 64000.

6) Our Hotel's reservation staff cannot contact the Guest as the contact details provided while booking are fake. Do we have to pay for this booking?

ANS: We assure 100% Safety for all bookings. Fake/Spam Transactions reported by the hotel within 48 hours of the booking will be cancelled upon scrutiny and the Transaction Token will be credited.*
Transaction Token will not be credited for Fake Transactions reported 48 hours after booking or if the guest does not arrive at the hotel (No-Shows).
*Room Inventory is also automatically updated when a Transaction Token is credited.

7) How do I report a Fake/Spam Transaction?

ANS: You can view all your Transactions from your control panel. Just Click on the "Flag As Fake" Link next to the Transaction and we will be alerted. You do not have to call or send us an email.

8) Do we have to buy Transaction Tokens in advance?

ANS: Yes, it is advisable to have a credit of atleast 5 tokens at all times. However every client is given 3 reserve Transaction Tokens which means that even if you run out of Transaction Tokens your reservation process will continue for three additional transactions allowing you sufficient time to buy more Transaction Token's.



9) Our group runs several hotels. Are any discounts offered if we take this plan for 4 of our hotels?

ANS: The Annual License fee of Rs.25000/- and Setup Fee of Rs.2500/- will be applicable for each hotel. You can Buy Transaction Tokens in Bulk to take advantage of our Bulk Pricing discounts.

10) Do You offer a Free Trial?

ANS: Unlike other reservation softwares, SMARTROOMS Transaction Tokens License is integrated with your Hotel's website. A copy of the entire software is loaded and configured under your Hotel's domain name. As this process requires additional effort and time; we do not offer a free trial under your Hotel's website domain name. However, If you are not 100% satisfied with our software, you can cancel the subscription for any reason within 30 days and we will refund the purchase price excluding customisation fees and Used Transaction Tokens if any.
